About the Positions

We're looking for a Treasurer to join our board of directors! Much of this role can be done remotely from your own home (or any other comfy spot you like to work from).

 

Executive board members are required to attend online monthly meetings love & hope foundation canada and signing the cheque and other document of the foundation as a Treasurer.

SPECIFIC TREASURER DUTIES ARE:

Being one of the two required signing authorities

 

Maintaining the financial records of the foundation in accordance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

 

Being responsible for all monies paid to the foundation and for the deposit of same into appropriate bank accounts as may be required by the Executive.

 

Being responsible for discharging all debts of the foundation.

 

Having care and custody of the financial records, deposit books and cheques of the foundation

 

Presenting a full detailed account of receipts and disbursements to the Executive whenever requested, and to the Board of Directors monthly.

 

Ensuring the financial records of the foundation are audited prior to every Annual General Meeting of the foundation and being responsible for their presentation to the foundation’s members,

 

Requesting from each Committee or Director, a budget of all operations under their direction, and

 

Preparing an foundation’s annual budget, which includes individual budgets from the Directors’ portfolios, to be submitted and approved by the Executive and the Board of Directors. Such budget will used as a guide for the ensuing year.

Attend Board meetings and Annual General Meeting – the Board meets approximately 4 times per year (most held virtually) for 90-120 minutes and otherwise as needed. Our all meetings are pre scheduled.

Attend the Board Strategic Plan meetings (approx. 2 meetings)

Attend the Governance and Committee meetings (approximately 2-3 times per year for 90-120 minutes)

Advice on financial regularity and accountability as per charity law of Canada.

Interview people to select talent and interview Applicant to approved financial support for project around the world.
